IT WAS A FANTASTIC DAY AS I WAS GIVEN A TOUR OF AN HISTORIC AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURER IN LAS VEGAS

I was amazed to see at how the U.S. automotive marketplace has advanced with the production of high end automobiles. Now in years past I have toured the prancing stallion factory in Modena, Italy and did expect to see certain advancements in the production of high end exotic automobiles. Though what I exhibited today is how American technology has surpassed the foreign supercar market with style and simplicity. Not to mention at a growling turn-key 800+ horsepower with an MSRP that I can actually afford.

As I walked through this factory's museum section, it took me to a time to when American muscle was king. Back in 1963 when Ford was trying to purchase the prancing stallion factory and ended up walking away empty handed, it was time to build a monster right here in the good ole USA and it was called GT-40. I still wonder if Lunn and Frey were sitting around drinking a few beers and saying to each other, what in hell do we call it? It's a grand touring car and 40 inches tall, ok we will call it GT-40. Yeah, Americans build monsters and we really do not care about fancy names. You know its American built when all you see is smoke and tail lights.

So the tour made my day and now I am going to have to put one of these monsters in my garage. Even more so to think that this monster is going to actually be my four passenger every day driver. I just can't wait until I pull up beside a prancing stallion and roll down my window to only look over, nod and say "What up?" in good ole American wanna race lingo.....
